Drop boxes will soon be available for old, unused, and unwanted medications.

 A caring community taking action to protect public health,

improve public safety & preserve the environment. 

COMING SOON!

The drop boxes will provide a safe, secure, and environmentally sound disposal option for your old medications.  Bring your old or unwanted prescription and non-prescription drugs and deposit them in the drop box.

The drop boxes will be accessible at three locations:

EVEREST METRO POLICE DEPARTMENT               ROTHSCHILD POLICE DEPARTMENT

                                   WAUSAU POLICE DEPARTMENT

The date of availability will be posted soon, along with the days and times for each location.

                                             Drop Box Rules!

                                    Please follow these simple rules!

  • DO drop off over-the-counter or prescription drugs.
  • DO drop off medications in original containers.
  • DO remove personal information by either tearing off or marking out.
  • DO leave on medicine name and dosage.
  • DO NOT drop off inhalers, nebulizers, radioactive chemo drugs or IV bags.
  • DO NOT drop off needles or syringes.
  • DO NOT drop off garbage / trash.
